Self-hosted services I run (and a few I ran, kept as reference). Networking related services (reverse proxy, tunnels, DNS) are covered under Networking.

  • Immich Immich

    Photo and video library. Server and database on the NAS next to the photos, machine learning on a separate host with OpenVINO.

  • Vaultwarden Vaultwarden

    Bitwarden-compatible password manager. Pinned version, review-only updates, Argon2 admin token, SMTP, signups off.

  • Syncthing Syncthing

    Hub-and-spoke folder sync: an always-on NAS container as the hub, desktops as spokes, plus a Dolphin right-click menu and status badges.

  • FileBrowser Quantum

    Browser access to a couple of NAS folders, behind SSO with mandatory TOTP.

  • Actual Budget Actual Budget

    Local-first envelope budgeting with a small sync server.

  • Homepage Homepage

    Static YAML dashboard, config straight from git. Includes the HOMEPAGE_ALLOWED_HOSTS gotcha.

  • Apache Guacamole Guacamole

    Browser-based remote desktop (guacd + Postgres + web app), behind SSO with TOTP enforced.

  • PatchMon

    Patch status for every host in one place. Includes the Redis password-in-config fix.

  • Utilities

    IT-Tools, BentoPDF and ConvertX in one small stack.
